Nemo:  I feel like I’ll be seeing you at every street corner.

Anna: Sometimes I tell myself,  maybe you live in the same town I do and I don’t know where. Maybe you’re here, very close.

It DOES give an answer. Everything you need to know is resolved by the statements at the end. All those lives were hypothetical and NEVER existed. Including old Nemo which means NOBODY btw. It was all in the mind of the child based on information he knew in his young life, imaginatioun surroundings. His father's passion for science, relationship complications, the fact he can't swim. The recurring dialog and water theme in each segment. The ONLY real thing is 9 yr old Nemo and impossible choice.
?

I think you mean the “we all exist in the imagination of a nine year old child” statement? You’re right. It makes it pretty clear.

I’m just wondering sometimes (maybe because I want it so badly that he stays with anna ;)), why the movie goes on for like 5 minutes after that, giving the life with anna a beautiful end and in the life where he is old, in the end it is still anna who is in his last words.

And what do you like the most about Mr. Nobody?
?

I think i will most likely say everything. I love the passion with which the film was made. It is perfect in every detail, like the signs on the railway station, the colours and the different kind of holding the camera for every life…. everytime i watch it i discover something new, think about a scene in an other way. I was never bored.

And it has a great message: Sometimes when i can’t choose, i think about what I would do if I were Nemo. And then I know it doesn’t matter because whatever I will choose it is the right path for me.

please please can u post an explanation about the end? I'm not really sure if I got it :( nemo actually picks his mom? and anna? argh I loved this movie but I think I need to watch twice to really get it (sorry about my english, I'm brazilian)
?

Trust me: you need to watch it more than 2 times to fully understand it. I think i watched it like 20 times, and some scenes more often, because of this tumblr. and i’m not even sure i got it completly right.

But the director said he wanted that the movie is like real live: it asks more questions than it actually answers.

So the ending: I think the 9 year old child neither choose it’s dad or his mom, because in the moment he saw all the possibility he couldn’t decide, (every path is the right path, every thing could have been anything else and it will have just as much meaning) and he ran away.

(But sometimes i think, he will most likely stay with anna/ his mother in the future  because the final scenes are all about anna, but the film gives no answer to that)
